The location and the gems
This is a very special property. Not only because it is a large and well-kept plot of land in a prime location with stunning views of the Els Ports mountains, just a 5 minute drive from Tortosa, but also because of the unique and coveted Jaspi de Tortosa stone was once mined here. 

The Jaspi de Tortosa 
The property still has the Jaspi de Tortosa stone deposit. The Jaspi de Tortosa, Cinta Jaspi or Cinta stone is a hard limestone with very bright colours, ranging from dominant yellow, red to dominant purple. In Italy it is known as Broccatello di Spagna because of its similarity to brocade fabric. 

In Spain, it has been used in the Barcelona Cathedral, the courtyard of the Taronger of the Palace of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the cathedrals of Tortosa and Tarragona, the portal of the Palace of the Generalitat Valenciana, the Basilica of the Column of Zaragoza and the Monastery of El Escorial, among others.

Water and Electricity
Another great advantage of this property is that it is connected to water and has electricity close. There is a communal well and it is possible to connect to the public electricity network. There is a 14000 litre cistern.

Building
There is a building on the property that is used to store agricultural equipment. A cistern is attached to the building. It must be examined whether this building can be extended or remodelled or whether a completely new building can be erected.

Views and plot
Picturesque property on several levels. The upper, cleared part, on which the owner wanted to erect a new building, offers a marvellous view of the mountains. The plot has an irrigation system, olive and almond trees.
